So our quench for food finally made us halt at Nando's, which serves the best Portuguese & African cuisines. And when I say "best" I actually mean it. The food quality, quantity was worth it. One place where I could order margarita twice, chicken twice or anything twice. One place where I won't mind going again and again.
Ambiance is warm, nice, cozy. By warm I meant the colors.
Staff is friendly when to comes to greeting or bidding good bye. Staff is quick and polite, had the courtesy to ask us about our taste.Service was quick, the food was fresh and served at the optimum temperature.
To compliment the good food served,we ordered a Lime Margarita and a Kingfisher Beer. An advice to people who love a drink is that the drinks menu is limited but you'll surely find the usual suspects to satisfy your thirst.
We ordered the Nandos famous Peri-Peri Chicken (half) to give a kick to our taste buds. As they say, chicken and alcohol are best friends, they are the perfect combination to start your food journey.
When it comes to chicken, it was perfectly grilled, couldn't feel oil on it. It was soft and we were able to chew it with no extra effort (that soft it was and yes it was a leg piece). All their main dishes comes with 2 side dishes because as they say "make it a real meal with sides". We ordered Spicy Rice and Coleslaw. Perfectly made rice, no oil, no stickiness, and soft.
Post that, we had Espetada Carnival along with Fries and Three Bean Salad. We were shocked to see the presentation of Espetada Carnival. This dish is basically flame-grilled peri-peri thighs and are stuffed with feta & parsley which are then skewered with mixed peppers. When it comes to taste, it was just melting in mouth with each bite. Soft, creamy and yummy. Three Bean Salad were basically a mixture of boiled beans with a tasty syrup on it. At first we couldn't recognize how and which syrup is this, it was sweet and sour. On asking they told us they make the same with a special type of vinegar and sugar.
To summarize my review, the food quality and quantity was worth the taste and the money exactly what and how you wanted it to be. And a must recommended place for all those people who are planning a get together, a nice date, a comfortable lunch/dinner, or a treat/party. A perfect place for non-veg hoggers and drinks to compliment it.
